Description
Isoprinosine can increase the synthesis of proteins and nucleoproteins, protecting the structure and function of polyribosoms, preventing the genetic transfer of viruses to the polyribosome cells of the body and thus stopping the multiplication of viruses.

Indication
Inflections of the virus in the airways, ecclesiastical diseases, liver disease, and multiple nervous systems, or flu in children and adults, common cold, bronchiolytitis, rinofaringitis or throatitis, varisela or chicken pox or measles, Herpes simplex virus, and herpes zoster.

Dosage
Adults and children: average doses: 50-100 mg of weight per day in 3-4 doses split when waking up (dosis is not given at night). In heavy infections, acute phases: 100 mg/kg weight per day in 4-6 divided doses. The usual length of treatment is: 7-10 days.
Warning
Check the uric acid levels in the serum of patients with gout, urolitiasis or kidney function disorder.
Side Effects
The increased levels of uric acid in the urine and or the serum are temporary. Rarely: skin rashes and or itchings, digestive disorders, nausea, weariness and infirmity, &diares, headaches, vertigos, joint pain, urinating, and polyuria.
