Description
Deculin contains the HCl pioglitazone, which is an antidiabetes of the thiazolidinedione.

Indication
As a combination therapy with sulfonilurea or metformin for type 2 DM which cannot be controlled by a single treatment sulfonilurea or metformin alone.

How to Use
Can be shared or without food
Storage
Keep it cool and dry, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight.
Warning
Cannot be given to patients with type 1 or ketoasidosis. It is not recommended to be used as monotherapy. Patients with edema or heart failure (NYHA III or IV). A strict monitoring of diet. A moderate liver disorder to weight; menstrual dysfunction. Make sure there is a risk factor for bladder cancer and macrocopic hematics before therapy. Pregnant and lactation. Children and < 18 years old.
Side Effects
Pioglitazone with metformin: anemia, BB grows, headaches, visual disorders, bloats, artralgia, hematuria, impotence. Pioglitazone with sulfonilurea: BB increases, hypoglikemi, increase in latact dhidrogenase, increase in appetite, dizziness, headaches, vertigo, sweat, proteinuria, fatigue.
